Abundant space, luxurious accommodation and modern art, this is luxury on a grand scale...

Aquarius Rising has been lovingly renovated by renowned modern art?collector, Greville?Worthington. The result is a seamless combination of contemporary stylish interiors alongside the charm of the?original?building. The walls are adorned with work by artists that have shaped modern art, the grounds are glorious, and there are many things to do in the area...

Step inside and the soaring ceilings and magnificent windows allow light to flood through, creating an airy and welcoming space. Through the generous entrance hall, is the impressive open-plan kitchen diner, the hub of this large holiday house. The kitchen centres around the bespoke 12-seater table built by the owner with seats reclaimed from an old London bus! A kitchen island with hardy marble countertops houses a large range cooker and is perfect for preparing an indulgent spread.

As you settle down to a meal, perhaps having spoilt yourselves with a visit from one of our partner private chefs, enjoy the blazing wood burner at the end of the room. Afterwards, nothing beats lounging on the corner sofa after a big meal and taking in the views of the fields beyond.

Next to the kitchen, a small quirky ‘cocktail room’ with a handmade wooden bar has the feel of an exclusive members club. Prep your favourite cocktail, then head to the?grand old school room beyond. This is the ultimate entertaining space, whether seated around the large dining table for 12, playing pool or dancing away under the shimmering disco ball. The walls are adorned with artwork and photography, and there are plenty of?comfortable sofas and armchairs to relax on as evening fades into night.

For a quieter spot, the cosy sitting room across the hall is a welcoming space. Light the open fire then sink into the plush L-shaped velvet sofa. Catch up on your favourite films on the 65-inch TV with Sony sound bar for maximum entertainment.

Originally a chapel house, this luxury holiday home adjoins St Paulinus, a private chapel whose ornate glass windows tower over the courtyard.

Up the carpeted stairs are three spacious first-floor double bedrooms, with walnut floors and high ceilings. The master bedroom boasts an original fireplace, and an en-suite bathroom almost as big as the bedroom itself! Take a long relaxing soak in the free-standing tub, perfectly placed for daydreaming in front of the enchanting window. You will also find a rainfall shower, twin basins, marble counters, and plenty of storage.

The second bedroom overlooks the courtyard and can be set as a super king or as a twin room. An original Damien Hirst adorns the wall, an incredible addition to this unique home that once hosted a Hirst exhibition in the 1990s. The third large bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and more stunning views of the grounds.

Climb the spiral staircase to the second floor of this large luxury holiday home, and find three uniquely decorated bedrooms. They share a large shower room with a double sink and vanity unit on this floor, and the shower room on the first floor.

Each bedroom has zip and link bed, allowing guests to choose to set the rooms up as a super king or as a twin room.

Aquarius Rising will not disappoint! Dig out your wellies, grab the dog’s lead and choose from a wide range of local walks and routes.

Outside of the kitchen, the enclosed decking is a tranquil place to unwind. Soak in the private bubbling hot tub, relax in the Swedish sauna, or sit and soak up the sun on the hand-carved wooden bench. An outdoor shower and changing room are handily placed for your convenience.

The large lawn is perfect for picnics with the gang, and also helps make this a super dog friendly holiday home.

The kitchen includes a side prep kitchen, and across both are a large American fridge freezer, microwave and dishwasher. Adjacent is a cloakroom, laundry room with a washer-dryer, and there is plenty of storage for coats and welly boots. Parking is plentiful outside the house.

Linen, towels, bathrobes, miniature toiletries, and a locally sourced welcome hamper are included in this large luxury holiday home. Families with babies can request a cot and a high chair free of charge.

Up to two dogs are welcome at Aquarius Rising at a small additional cost per night. They are sure to enjoy the many walks across the estate and beyond.

Make sure to scan the QR codes next to the artwork to hear the owner, Greville Worthington, briefly introduce the artist and art.

On arrival the large gravel courtyard comfortably parks 6-7 cars. The doorway on the left leads to an enclosed courtyard with the main entrance, near the hot tub and sauna area. Wooden decking surrounds the hot tub and the sauna is tucked away in one of the alcoves/

To the rear of the house, steps lead out into the garden. This is large and grassed. Before the fence, there is a small drop into a ditch that edges the lawn to watch out for. Please note for young families or pet owners, the garden is fenced but it is not securely enclosed.

The sitting room, kitchen, hallway, and cloakroom are all on one level. A step leads down to the bar through to The Old School Room, and steps lead down into the utility room. There is plenty of storage and hanging space throughout. There is an open fire in the sitting room, and log burners in the kitchen and Old School Room.

The staircase that leads from the ground floor upstairs to the first floor is wide. Please note that its shape makes it unable to take a stair gate at the top or bottom. There is a tall spiral staircase that connects the first floor with the second-floor bedrooms. There is a handrail and automatic night lights for safety, and please note the steps are quite steep and a stair-gate cannot be fitted between the floors.

On the first floor: The master bedroom connects with a large en-suite bathroom. There is a zip-and-link super king bed, that can be set up as a double or twin. There’s a separate shower and a roll-top bath, as well as plenty of storage in floor-to-ceiling cupboards. Bedroom 2 has use of the shower room on this floor, there is a zip-and-link super king bed, that can be set up as a double or twin. Bedroom 3 has an en-suite with a shower over the bath. There is a zip-and-link super king bed, that can be set up as a double or twin.

On the second floor: All three bedrooms have zip and link super king mattresses, meaning they can be set up as a double or twin room. The bed bases are fixed, so for a twin set-up the mattresses slide apart leaving a gap in the middle. The bedrooms share a large shower room on this floor and also have use of the shower room on the first floor at the bottom of the stairs.

One cot and one highchair are available free of charge for families, on request. Unfortunately, this property is unsuitable for stair-gates.

Aquarius Rising is a luxury dog-friendly holiday home for up to two dogs, with an enclosed courtyard where the hot tub is, and plenty of walks over the surrounding fields and public footpaths. Dogs are booked at a small additional charge per night.
