Pumpkin picking is a great activity for all ages around Halloween and October half term. At Atley Hill Farm in Scorton, North Yorkshire only a 10 minute drive from our lakeside lodges at Brompton Lakes you can pick your own size and style of pumpkin and carve it out into a super scary design ready for Halloween. Great fun for friends and family this October half term...
The farm is open from 10am-3pm every weekend in October and from 25th October onwards with free entry, free parking and plenty of pumpkins to pick from… Just pay for what pumpkins you pick from 50p to £5. Wheel barrows are provided.
Whilst at the farm you can pick up some fresh farm raw milk which is produced by the award winning Tinehill Holsteins and Atleyhill Ayrshires as well as in the late summer challenge yourself to get out of the Maize Maze.
On your way home make sure you book a table at one of our favourite local restaurants, The Heifer which overlooks the village green in Scorton and brings you a popular place to eat and drink with a real Yorkshire welcome! All food is sourced from local produce and cooked fresh whilst you wait in the bar and can try a few award winning local ales. Don’t miss parmo night on a Thursday (a Northern classic), steak night on a Friday and burger night every Sunday.
