Easter eggs and chocolate have become synonymous with this special time of year. When the season changes from Winter to Spring, what better time to visit Kacao. This is our favourite local chocolaterie, based in Richmond, known as the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales. As well as lots of delicious chocolate on offer, Kacao also have many exciting chocolate making courses this Easter for kids (and those big kids) to enjoy. Learn all about the sweet-tasting stuff, whilst chomping on marshmallows dipped in the running chocolate fountain. A great day out for all of the family!

Spring is the time when the countryside reawakens and comes bursting into life. Birds are singing, leaves are unfolding and the animals are beginning to wake from their winter sleep. At Brompton Lakes, look out for our regular visitors which include geese, ducks, swans, oystercatchers, moorhens and kingfishers. Families will love spotting the newly born chicks in April.
