Our experienced instructor, Jodie McGregor, was formerly a professional equestrian. She later transitioned into the fitness industry as a personal trainer. Now she combines her passion for nature and the great Yorkshire outdoors with her study of sports science and nutrition, offering wellness retreats and personal training. She is here to help our Holiday at Home guests feel good from the inside out


Yoga…

Stretch and strengthen with a dynamic, flowing yoga class for all abilities with Jodie. Relax in perfect bliss, rejuvenating your body and mind. Relieve stress while getting advice on the best movements, poses and exercises based on your body’s needsFor experienced yoga students, there are plenty of options to be guided into further techniques of yoga in stunning surroundings. Or for beginners, just slow things down, unwind and get your body in tune with your mind

Holiday at Home have properties for all group sizes, and our yoga sessions can be booked on a one-to-one basis or get the group together for a session depending on your needs.  

Our favourite yoga spot is at our lakeside lodges at Brompton Lakes, whilst enjoying the tranquil serenity and nature on site during meditation. Or experience the stillness and silence at Greenbank Barns, with views across acres of private Yorkshire countryside.  

Personal Training…

Don’t undo all of your hard work whilst on holiday. Book a fitness session with Jodie, our experienced personal trainer, who can help you stay fit and active during your stay.

Jodie can offer a workout with a difference. She works with a group or on a one-to-one basis through a variety of activities. This includes circuits, boxing-pad work, kettlebells or even some pre/post pregnancy training. Each session is tailored to your fitness level, to help you get the most from your training session with Jodie 

By keeping up with your exercise regime whilst staying with us can also help reduce any guilt about spending afternoons trying the many local delicacies… Cue Betty’s Tea Rooms or evenings in one of Yorkshire’s many local pubs, whilst knowing you can burn off the calories during your session!

Guided Walks…

Whether you are walking, running or cycling, your exercise regime can get you out and about. There is no better place to explore than Yorkshire’s great outdoors! Discover the hidden gems in the local area during your escape to North Yorkshire with Jodie. She can show you around your chosen holiday destination on a guided walk, suitable for all interests and abilities. 

Staying active on your travels can remind you how much fun it is to be active and can set up good habits you can continue throughout the year when you are home too. Give your body the break it deserves so you return home stronger, happier and healthier.
