In line with government guidelines, we are delighted to be able to welcome guests to all of our Holiday at Home properties. We want to reassure you that we have all the necessary safety precautions in place. You can feel 100% comfortable when travelling and look forward to your well-deserved break.
Holiday at Home offers a range of top quality self-catering holiday cottages and lodges across North Yorkshire. Most importantly, we have everything you could need for a safe staycation with loved ones during Covid-19.
Following advice from industry bodies such as Visit England and PASC UK, we can ensure all our team members and guests are fully protected and the risk of Covid-19 is mitigated. We have made some additions to our regular cleaning and maintenance regimes across all of our holiday homes…
We have recently acquired the ‘We’re Good to Go’ Visit England accreditation mark, meaning that we are indeed good to go. Holiday at Home has successfully followed the correct government and industry Covid-19 re-opening guidelines, has a Risk Assessment in place, and a process to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing for guests and staff.
We have always had a rigorous cleaning and hygiene routine, with 5-star ratings from previous guest reviews. However, we now have an enhanced process in place using specialist anti-viral sprays and wipes to ensure further sanitisation.
All of our cleaning teams are provided with the correct PPE, and extra attention is given to high contact areas including door handles and light switches, using anti-viral products in addition to the regular cleaning chemicals.
In order to clean all of the lodges to the latest industry-standard, we do ask that all guests arrive from 4.30 pm onwards and depart before 9.30 am to give us an extra hour for deep cleaning now that more lone working in place.
We have asked guests to strip their beds and to take out the rubbish before departing, in order to reduce contact for our team. We’ve also left a disinfectant spray in the property to give surfaces a wipe down during your stay.
Even though Kate and the team love to give you all a personal welcome at reception, all of our properties (including our lodges at Brompton Lakes) now have (fully disinfected) key safes outside. This is to limit contact with reception and offer a Covid-secure contactless arrival.
If you do need to speak with a member of our team, don’t think we appear stand-offish, but we will maintain the 2m social distancing rule at all times. If there’s anything that needs fixing in the property, we will always try to sort the problem over the phone first.
To show our support for English Tourism Week 2020 this week we are celebrating our most loved National treasures in North Yorkshire. We want to inspire visitors and help plan the most memorable UK break.
