Designed with both style and rustic charm, you'll find the open-plan layout in this cosy log cabin focuses around the large picture window with lovely views. The comfortable three-seater sofa and plush armchairs centre around the log burning stove and the Smart TV. A door leads straight out to the patio with the gas BBQ and the garden.

The well-equipped kitchen comes complete with everything you need for a self-catering break in the UK; there is a fridge-freezer, dishwasher, electric hob, oven, and a Nespresso coffee machine with a starter pack of capsules. Stock up at the Friday market or in the well-known Campbells supermarket in Leyburn and cook up a feast and enjoy a meal around the dining table or relax at the garden table over lunch.

This Scandinavian-style log cabin with its private hot tub comfortably sleeps two or four guests, making it ideal for a luxurious escape with a friend or a couples’ retreat. The two beautifully designed bedrooms each boast a fixed super-king-sized bed and their own en-suite bathroom for privacy and comfort throughout your stay. Floor-to-ceiling windows showcase sweeping views of the North Yorkshire countryside, while private doors lead directly onto the patio and hot tub area — allowing you to step outside and soak in the scenery the moment you wake.

Designed with relaxation in mind, each bedroom includes a Smart TV for laid-back evenings and lazy mornings. The bathroom features a large walk-in rainfall shower, as well as plush towels and cosy robes ready for effortless trips straight out to the hot tub.

Open the doors and step onto your private patio to fully immerse yourself in the surrounding nature. Take a moment, breathe in the fresh air and truly take in the incredible setting from your luxurious log cabin.

Breakfast al fresco at the rattan table and chairs seating four, or fire up the gas BBQ in Summer. These Leyburn lodges at Sun Hill Lodges are located on the grounds of racehorse trainer Ann Duffield and her husband, legendary jockey George Duffield MBE. Stable tours can be arranged on request. The beauty of this woodland cabin in Yorkshire is seeing the horses training on the gallops that run beyond the end of the garden.

On your own private driveway, there is space for two cars. A ramp and steps lead up to the lodge which then has flagstones surrounding it.

There is one small step to get inside, then the lodge is all on one level and so is well suited to guests with limited mobility.

This is accommodation with a ground floor bedroom and a walk-in step-free shower.

In The Area

Leyburn is often referred to as the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales and is the closest town, 4 miles from this log cabin with hot tub. The market square offers a wonderful blend of independent shops and places to eat. Try delicious artisan chocolates from Inspired Chocolate or browse the sales at the famous Tennant’s auction house which also has a great cafe. The Sandpiper Inn and the Bolton Arms pub in the town are both great options, and have a dog-friendly bar.

Stock up your cupboards at the award-winning Campbell’s of Leyburn; family-run since 1868, it is a supermarket and wine retailer. On Friday’s do make sure to visit Leyburn’s weekly market full of local produce.
