Forbidden Corner, Leyburn

Voted the best children’s attraction in Yorkshire, the award-winning Forbidden Corner makes a truly unforgettable day out for all of the family. A 10-minute drive away are the popular market towns Leyburn and Middleham. Running through Leyburn is The Wensleydale Railway which runs between Leeming Bar and Redmire. The Wensleydale Railway is an authentic heritage railway serving the local community, offering tourists, families and transport enthusiasts a great day out in the Yorkshire Dales with lots to see and do along the way. Timetabled services run over the 16 miles from Leeming Bar to Redmire (for Bolton Castle). Most trains are diesel multiple units from the 1950/60s offering spectacular views up Wensleydale; some steam hauled services in the high summer and in December.

Situated just outside of Bedale; this farm makes a great day out for all ages. Children can play in the indoor play barn and go-cart arena while you browse the shop selling home-reared beef, cheese and farm-made ice cream.
