After exploring, head to the Saddle Room restaurant. Once a racehorse stable, you can sit by a cosy fire or feel immersed in the history whilst enjoying great food and ales.

Jervaulx Abbey is equally stunning, where children can run around or enjoy a picnic. Locals love a stop-off at Brymor Ice Cream just along the road before heading home.
