Care of the Property
We have decorated and equipped our properties to a high specification, most items have been individually sourced and are expensive to replace. Thank you for looking after everything. We do understand that accidents can happen, please report breakages asap to give us time to replace them before the next guests arrive. Please refer to our terms and conditions with any questions.
CCTV
Please note that CCTV is operational outside the property for security. If you have any questions, please contact us.
Wi-Fi
There is no password.
Noise
Please respect neighbouring properties and keep noise levels to a minimum between 10pm and 8am, especially outside using the hot tub.
Smoking
The properties are strictly non-smoking. A cigarette bin can be found outside.
Lost Property
If guests leave any personal belongings behind they must be claimed within two weeks. We are happy to return any goods for a charge from £10, depending on the item. Please note items will not be kept any longer than two weeks due to the high volume of lost property accumulated.

Dog Owners
For your pet’s safety and consideration of our other guests, please be mindful of the following:
Rubbish & Recycling
If you need to empty your rubbish bin, there is large waste bin in the barn opposite the cottage. This is mixed waster and sorted off-site.
Heating & Hot Water
The heating is supplied by an oil fired boiler external to the property. The hot water and heating are set on a timer and shouldn’t need altering. There is a remote control unit on the kitchen window sill where you can boost the water or heating. If you have any problems please contact the office.
Log Burning Stove
Logs and kindling are provided and are stacked in the log store as you enter the property in the porch. Fire-lighters and matches will be by the log burner. Take care when topping up the stove.
WARNING: The outside of the stove does become hot, especially the lid and handles, please do not allow children to operate or play with the stove. Do not light the stove if it is of risk to children.
Lighting the fire:
Please do not attempt to burn anything other than wood on the stove, paper causes excess ash to form and can make the stove dusty and smoky.
There is are levers at the bottom of the stove to regulate air flow, more air helps the logs light when first starting the fire. The air flow should be turned down when the fire is going to prevent the logs burning too fast.
Washer & Dryer
Please follow the link for the instruction manual for the washer dryer: Bosch Website Instructions
Dishwasher
Dishwasher tablets can be found under the sink. Please remove all excess food and grease before loading the dishwasher.
Starting a programme:
Fridge & Freezer
Please do not overload the fridge freezer on arrival as this will cause the unit to overheat and therefore your food will not stay chilled which Holiday at Home cannot be held liable for. You shouldn’t need to alter the temperature during your stay.
Hob
To use the hob:
Be aware – The hob will take time to cool down. Do not touch or place any items on the hob until the red light has disappeared from the control panel. Do not leave the hob unattended when in use.
Oven
There are controls for the two ovens (top & bottom) either oven can be used or both at the same time. Select whether you like top or bottom, the top controls are on the left and the bottom controls are on the right. Having selected top or bottom, select the desired temperature with the left knob, the right hand knob selects the oven or grill.
