If you are willing to widen your pallet, Realitea is a tea room with an Indian twist. Reading the menu has you drooling before you’ve even stepped foot through the door. A short walk from Unbridled, we recommend a trip during your stay at the cottage.
The Royal Oak
For an evening meal, The Royal Oak should be the place to go. With truly hearty pub classics, you couldn’t feel closer to Yorkshire. Located on Kirkgate, this restaurant is in a prime location around the corner from the market place, so you don’t need to trek too far before resting your feet.
Ripon Cathedral
A place full of events and exhibitions is Ripon Cathedral. The Cathedral provides a sanctuary on a rainy day exploring the area around your Ripon holiday cottage, a beautiful focal point as you stroll the city’s streets and relax in one of many award-winning cafés. Doubling up as a fantastic events location, the Cathedral offers music by candlelight, silent discos and more. By day, the Cathedral holds lots of hidden treasures. One to look out for is the misericords (carvings on choir seats) inspired by the characters from Alice in Wonderland.
Fountains Abbey
The perfect Yorkshire day out is not far at Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Garden, a stunning World Heritage Site run by the National Trust and one of the largest and best-preserved monastery ruins in England.
