A wonderful dog friendly cottage for two from which to explore the area.

The Palins is a charming country cottage on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales for a couple. Step inside to the open-plan living room and kitchen. Guests can eat from the breakfast bar styled with high leather stools, or head out to one of the excellent Yorkshire pubs or cafes nearby.

This is a perfect cottage from which to experience the beauty of the Dales. After a crisp country walk or a day exploring Leyburn, the roaring log burner awaits. Relax on the comfortable leather sofa, putting on the television for an indulgent afternoon film, or relish in a good book curled up in the cowhide armchair. The living room is a cosy and stylish space, with traditional characteristics including wooden beams and an exposed stone fireplace.

This is also a dog-friendly spot so you can bring a pooch along with you. There are plenty of walks to enjoy in Wensleydale and the wider area.

In the bedroom, treat yourself to a lazy morning in the large and luxurious sleigh bed. Behind the bed features the original exposed stonework. There is a dressing table and plenty of built-in wardrobes to cater for your stay. There is also space for a cot for young families looking for an escape to a baby-friendly cottage.

Adjoining the bedroom is a spacious en-suite wet room with a shower and a toilet.

Along the driveway from the cottage, overlooking the gallops and the rolling Yorkshire hills, is a small garden. There is netting around the bottom of the fencing to make this enclosed. This is a quiet place to enjoy the views with seating and a BBQ.

In the grounds of Sun Hill Farm dogs are asked to be kept on a lead, due to the racehorses in the surrounding fields.

You can look at additional activities during your stay such as stable tours, drop-off menus from our recommended chefs & treatments here.
