Relax in your private hot tub, cosy up in luxury interiors or grab the lead and take the dog for a walk from this dog-friendly cottage. This luxury one-bedroom holiday home offers something that many properties can't... complete privacy for a truly relaxing break. From the beautiful exterior stonework to the craftmanship indoors of this cottage, Whitwell Nook has been lovingly renovated to the highest standards.

Kick off your muddy boots and step inside this quaint holiday cottage with hot tub, centering around an open-plan living area with a luxury yet cosy cottage feel. You’ll be greeted by a warm and welcoming living space framed by beautiful wooden beams overhead. Filled with natural light, the open-plan space offers plenty of room to relax with luxury touches. There is a well-equipped kitchen with modern appliances including fridge/freezer, dishwasher and electric oven and hob, as well comfy seating around the dining table for two.

The stunning beams and high ceiling continues through to the bedroom, with a comfortable super king-sized bed, luxury bedding and Smart TV for relaxing mornings or a film in the evening. From the bedroom, a pretty en-suite features a bath and separate shower.

In summer months, throw open the french doors from the living area and wander out to your private patio with hot tub, outdoor seating and charcoal BBQ. In winter months, pop on a movie and stay cosy inside thanks to the underfloor heating. There is plenty of open space for dogs to run free. The garden is not enclosed however the field in front of Whitewell Nook is exclusively available to guests and perfect for pooches to explore. Be sure to visit the charming Yorkshire market towns nearby, offering lovely pubs, cafes and restaurants.

Whitwell Nook is all on one level. Private parking for two cars is accessed via an electric gate into a gravel courtyard next to the property. A paved foothpath leads to the cottage and a paved patio wraps around the property. A private hot tub and outdoor table and chairs are adjacent to the cottage and accessed via the french doors in the living area or the front door. The outdoor area is not fenced in but is open to the fields which guests are welcome to use. For couples with a babe-in-arms, please ask for a cot and high chair in advance.

In The Area

While you feel Whitwell Nook is perfectly private, among acres of stunning countryside, there are plenty of places to explore on your doorstep.

It is a short drive to Scorton village, where you'll find a raised green, a village shop, post office and The Heifer Pub & Restaurant and The Farmers Arms, both serving home-cooked food. After a bite to eat, why not try the charming circular walk that starts from Scorton village centre? Taking approximately 1 - 1.5 hours, it is a gentle trail looping through the surrounding countryside and small woods.

Just down the road is Ellerton Lakes, home to a farm shop and cafe as well as a water sports centre, which is a popular choice for canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding and open-water swimming.

Kiplin Hall and Gardens is close by, with a visitor centre, cafe and scenic walks (please take note of the seasonal opening times).
