At the heart of Wensleydale lies the gateway market town of Leyburn, only a short drive from Sun Hill Farmhouse and Lodge Barn, set amid some of England’s finest countryside, unusual local shops and cafes, traditional pubs and a weekly market which takes place every Friday and includes an array of stalls selling everything from fresh fish to hand crafted ornaments. Hop on board at Leyburn and take a scenic route to Redmire, where you will find Bolton Castle, one of the country's best preserved 14th century medieval castles, with over 600 years of fascinating history to explore. Look out for the sword fighting demonstrations and falconry displays.
