Instructions

Dog Owners
For your pet’s safety and consideration of our other guests, please be mindful of the following:

  • All of our houses permit dogs so there may be other dogs nearby.
  • Please clean up after your dog (spare bags available in the kitchen).
  • Do not allow dogs into the bedrooms or on to furniture.

BBQ

A BBQ can be found at the bottom of the garden at Woodcroft Cottage which you are welcome to use. You may use your own charcoal but please leave the BBQ clean and tidy ready for future guests.  Please leave the ashes in the metal bucket provided.

Hot Tub Operation

Please read the safety information for using the hot tub. We will test the hot tub daily for health and safety, a quick 10 minutes in the morning and he will be done.

The hot tub will be cleaned out and filled with fresh water on the day of your arrival.  You do not need to empty the water during your stay, there is an anti-bacterial treatment for the water in the hot tub.

The hot tub is set between 36-38 degrees, and you will be able to use the temperature controls to adjust. Please see the control panel on the hot tub to operate the jets. Always ensure that the tub is left on auto when not in use. Please note that the tub will not heat when the jets are set to high.

There are lights over the hot tub area, controlled from a light switch.

A lot of factors play a role when heating the water, ambient temperature, weather conditions etc. Keep the lid on the hot tub when heating to conserve the heat. There is a hosepipe in the area for the addition of cold water if you would like to cool it down or need to top up the tub for any reason.

The water is heated by circulating through the system via an inlet and outlet pipe within the hot tub. DO NOT let the water drop below its original level. If necessary, please use the hose pipe provided to top up the water level.

The water is heated via an electric heater. This warms at around 1-2 degrees per hour so the hot tub may not be able to be used until later on the first night.

If you have any issues before 5pm please contact reception on 01748 850333 Or if you have any issues after 5pm please call our out of hours number on 07919 451626.

Please Note:

  • Opening all 3 air vents will ensures a good supply of oxygen needed to get your fire going.
  • One vent can be found at the top of the door which can be moved from side to side. The other two vents can be found by opening the metal door under the glass door. The metal pole above this turn table can be pushed out to open the vents and in to close them also.
