Weddings at Aquarius Rising

Aquarius Rising is best suited for weddings between 50 and 90 guests. It can sleep 12 guests for up to 7-nights in the self-catering accommodation that is the living quarters of the property.

For larger weddings over 90 guests, we encourage use of an outdoor marquee in the courtyard that sits at the heart of the property. Walled but not covered, this image shows a clearspan marquee set-up in this central courtyard.

Our dry hire options allows you to use the wedding license which covers the school room and bamboo garden, an on-call team member to assist on the day, access to the chapel for the ceremony, additional field for parking & accommodation for 12 guests over 7 nights. It does not include an alcohol license, marquee, caterers, or anything over and above the aforementioned. Any couples would also need to take out wedding insurance too.

We are able to offer Aquarius Rising as a wedding venue from £7,500 inclusive of vat and the self-catering accommodation. Please note the exclusive venue hire price does vary between different seasons.

We are able to offer a fully bespoke quotation for weddings of all sizes once we have a better understanding on what you as a couple are hoping to achieve, and what your priorities are for your big day.

We have a list of recommended suppliers that we have used in the past. Providing the suppliers have the required insurance and are compliant with the rental agreement, we are happy for couples to choose their own suppliers. This means couples are able to plan as much or as little as they would like for their special day! The property does have the benefit of a scullery which can be ideal for wedding caterers.

You & your suppliers will have access from 4pm from the arriving day of the rental through to 10am on the day of departure. All suppliers equipment must be collected prior to this time.

We recommend couples book Wednesday to Wednesday; this allows time for set up and take down of all equipment and supplier deliveries. Plus, it gives you more space to enjoy the lead up to the big day.

Some couples may choose to be married and have a celebrant in the main chapel, or The School Room is licenced for civil ceremonies. We are able to give guidance on this from previous experience.

The couple is responsible with organising a Registrar on the day. A civil ceremony would be planned with the North Yorkshire Registrar’s office, find out more here.
