Based in Middleham, Fairhursts Catering offers modern private chef experiences in the comfort of your holiday home or private residence across North Yorkshire.

We create relaxed, restaurant-quality dinner parties designed for effortless entertaining. Whether you’re celebrating a special birthday, anniversary, family gathering, or simply enjoying time away with friends.

From preparation and cooking to full table service and complete clean-down, we take care of everything so you can focus entirely on enjoying your evening.

Our menus are seasonal, locally inspired, and fully adaptable to dietary requirements and personal preferences.

We also offer a much wider range of dishes and menu options than those shown below. Every event is unique, so we always recommend getting in touch to design a completely bespoke menu together, tailored in person to your occasion.

From £60 per person + VAT

Full service included: cooking, serving, table presentation & clean-down

Staff charge: £60 per shift, per member of staff

Service charge may apply for larger or bespoke events, confirmed at booking

  • Wensleydale Cheese & Leek Tartlet, pickled red onion, pea shoots & balsamic glaze
  • Homemade Golden Vegetable Soup, coriander & truffle, rustic roll & butter
  • Classic Prawn Cocktail with cucumber & dill relish
  • Cauliflower Fritters, tzatziki & sesame ginger salad
  • Chicken Liver Parfait, apple purée, pickled apple & brioche toast
  • Ham Hock Terrine, homemade piccalilli & pork crackling
  • Locally Smoked Salmon, lemon & black pepper crème fraîche, capers & herb croutons

  • Confit Gressingham Duck Leg with creamed cabbage, fondant potato & orange sauce
  • Roasted Salmon Fillet with pea, pancetta & light curried cream sauce
  • Thyme Roasted Chicken Breast with rosemary potatoes & chorizo mushroom sauce
  • Slow Roasted Belly Pork with apple purée, black pudding crumb & cider cream sauce
  • Yorkshire Dales Ribeye Steak with herb butter, chunky chips & garlic chutney
  • Slow Cooked Lamb Shank with red wine sauce & potato gratin
  • Herb Crusted Chicken with dauphinoise potato & red wine sauce
  • Sea Bass en Papillote with herb potatoes, fine beans & citrus butter sauce

How to Book

Private dining must be booked through Holiday at Home Reception. We cannot guarantee the availability of your preferred chef on your chosen date while you are staying in our Yorkshire holiday cottages, so early booking is recommended. Once confirmed, Fairhurts Catering will liaise with you directly for final numbers and your menu choices. Please inform them of any dietary requirements as soon as possible.
