Austin is a two-bedroom luxury holiday cottage for up to four guests at Holly House Farm. This converted Yorkshire stone barn retains character features, including wrought iron cross beams that highlight its heritage. The open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area runs the length of the house and includes state-of-the-art Bosch appliances, along with a Tassimo coffee machine and an initial supply of pods. A striking log-burning stove keeps the space cosy in the winter months, complemented by underfloor heating throughout.
The high-quality interior design and finish are what guests love most about this hot tub cottage in Yorkshire. From the well-equipped self-catering kitchen, doors open onto a private walled courtyard garden. In the summer months, fire up the BBQ or relax in the contemporary egg chair, enjoying views of the surrounding countryside.

Austin is also a luxury dog-friendly cottage, with enclosed outdoor space and hardwood floors throughout, making it perfect for exploring North Yorkshire and the Dales with your four-legged companion. While it offers privacy for up to four guests, it can also be booked alongside Henry and Georgia at Holly House Farm to accommodate up to eighteen guests in total.
Set across a single storey, there are two stylish bedrooms, each with its own unique design. One, in grey and yellow tones, is among the most talked-about in the Holiday at Home collection and also features a television. Both bedrooms have super king-size beds, which can be split into twins on request. Austin is a popular choice for couples, making it ideal for a romantic getaway or mini-moon in Yorkshire.
The bedrooms share a contemporary bathroom with a large bath and overhead shower. There is also a separate cloakroom with a WC.
Step outside to a private terrace with a table and chairs for al fresco dining, complete with a charcoal BBQ. Here, you will also find the luxurious hot tub, perfect for relaxing under the stars with a glass of bubbly. It comfortably seats four guests, with towels and robes provided. The cottage also benefits from an enclosed outdoor space, with garden areas to both the front and rear.
Ideally located in Swaledale, Austin is perfectly placed for exploring the Yorkshire Dales and is within walking distance of Richmond.
The wider grounds are shared with two other properties at Holly House Farm, yet the cottage still feels private and exclusive. A large grassy area on arrival is perfect for families, while a nearby bridle path leads across the fields and into Richmond.
This location is fantastic, with Austin ideally situated near Richmond, North Yorkshire. The house enjoys idyllic countryside views, while the amenities of Richmond, Leyburn, Catterick, and other nearby towns are within easy reach. The Yorkshire Dales National Park is also close by, with numerous walking and cycling routes starting from your doorstep.
Less than a mile from Holly House Farm is the Holly Hill Inn, offering affordable pub food in a cosy setting with a fireplace, stone walls, and homely décor. Nearby, you will also find the CAMRA award-winning George & Dragon in Hudswell. In Leyburn, enjoy the well-known Sandpiper pub, while in Richmond, we recommend Rustique. For stocking up, the weekly markets in Leyburn on Fridays and Richmond on Saturdays are well worth a visit, and there are several supermarkets just a short drive away.
