The perfect places to stay in Yorkshire located in the heart of Richmond, North Yorkshire, each apartment benefits from an off-street parking space. Enter the main door into a shared stairwell, then internal doors lead to each apartment offering security and privacy. There is plenty to explore without the car, and we recommend The Station or the weekly Saturday market for stocking up with local produce.
Walk up to the cobbled marketplace lined with diverse eateries, boutique shops, tempting tearooms, and a butcher and greengrocer. The famous 11th century medieval Richmond Castle towers over the River Swale and is a wonderful walk. The Richmond Falls on the river are a true delight, then head to The Station for tea and a well-deserved slice of cake.
Nestled at the edge of the Yorkshire Dales this is the ideal starting point for walkers and cyclists; explore the famous Little Drummer Boy walk and the Coast-to-Coast route runs along the river. Nearby Barnard Castle, Masham, Leyburn and Ripon offer shops, heritage sites, beautiful gardens and more. The North York Moors National Park is a 40-minute drive, and the Yorkshire Coast in an hour’s drive.
The Wensleydale is located on the ground floor and the more accessible property; there are a few steps between the bedroom and living area. The contemporary design is accented with rich ochre furnishings, whilst the kitchen and en-suite bathroom are white and light. This is also a dog friendly apartment, with a small additional room for the pooch to sleep in.
The Swaledale on the first floor is a pet free holiday home. The open plan living space has lovely large windows letting in plenty of natural light, and is well suited to homeworking if you can’t break away from the daily grind. The bedroom is en-suite with plenty of storage space, and a concealed double bed makes it well suited to small or young families.
