Grand in outlook as well as space, this three-bedroom luxury lodge is the perfect retreat for a memorable Yorkshire escape… A magical blend of fantastic views, interior design, and incomparable comfort combine to make Valley View the most idyllic five-star lodge in the Yorkshire Dales.

Available exclusively between November and February, this is an exclusive Winter getaway for a group of up to six guests.

Start your day with a morning stretch in the fitness suite or a sauna. Then wander through for a morning coffee at the breakfast bar or in front of a roaring fire whilst planning your day’s adventure. The heart of this luxury lodge is the large open-plan living and dining area. Dine with panoramic views of the garden and Yorkshire hills beyond. Although decadent and grand in space, it is still cosy with large comfortable seating; the wood burner and underfloor heating add a sense of cosiness in winter months. Floor to ceiling sliding doors wrap around the house, allowing you to soak in the far-reaching scenes outside.

Spend the afternoon playing a game of snooker in the games room. The loser, or in this case the winner, won't mind cooking for the family in the fabulous state-of-the-art kitchen. The kitchen has everything needed for a luxury self-catering holiday, with all the modern additions to make an incredible cooking experience. It includes an American style fridge freezer, ice-cold water dispenser, a bean to cup coffee machine, and a four-oven Aga.

If you’re celebrating, or would just prefer to put your feet up, Holiday at Home can even arrange one of our private chefs to treat you to some fine dining - and they will even load the two dishwashers after your meal. After dinner, sit with your favourite tipple at the bar and relax in front of the second log burning stove in the Snug. Here is a large TV with Sky and Bang & Olufsen sound system.

Bedrooms…

Every night will need to be an early night at Valley View to take advantage of the sumptuous luxurious king-size beds - the perfect tonic for busy lives. Think natural hues, fur throws and sumptuous headboards. The master bedroom has views across rolling hillside through the large bi-fold doors.

In the second bedroom, lie back and stargaze when there are dark skies through the picture-perfect ceiling window. The third bedroom's four poster certainly makes getting out of bed in the morning that much harder...

All three bedrooms have their own en-suite bathrooms, each with a free-standing bath and walk-in shower. Added luxuries such as a stylish copper bath in the master bedroom's en-suite are perfect for a long soak after a day exploring the Yorkshire Dales.

Outside…

After a long walk or on a wintry day, come home to enjoy some much-needed pampering. Step into the Villeroy and Boch hydrotherapy hot tub, complete with a fluffy robe, glossy magazine, and glass of something fizzy. Sink into the steaming bubbles and feel the tension melt away – even better in colder months when there’s snow on the hills!

Guests can spend evenings by the fire pit, barbecuing from the large 4 burner gas BBQ as the sun goes down. Snuggle up and keep warm on the rattan furniture. Beyond the private enclosed garden with its hydrotherapy hot tub are water features including a small pond.

Guests are welcome to explore the grounds and paddocks at Sun Hill Farm, where the horses graze and racehorses train nearby. There's a viewing platform, and stable tours can be booked in advance.

Practicalities…

This gorgeous lodge in the Yorkshire Dales offers state of the art technology throughout, including an impressive Bang & Olufsen music and television system. There are Velux skylights with automatic blinds, air conditioning, underfloor heating, and cosy log burning stoves.

The kitchen has a full inventory including an American fridge freezer, Aga and separate oven, boiling water tap, dishwasher, and coffee machine. There is a starter pack for the kitchen, fire, and washroom, and a locally sourced welcome hamper. The boot room houses the washer-dryer as well as the separate WC. Also included are high-quality bed linen, towels, bathrobes, and toiletries. There’s good wi-fi and private parking.
