Located in the grounds of Sun Hill Farm near Constable Burton and Leyburn, Sun Hill Farmhouse is one of a collection of three dog-friendly cottages in the Yorkshire Dales. It will be love at first sight when you arrive at this beautiful 400-year-old farmhouse, surrounded by pretty private gardens with superb views and a private hot tub. In the wider grounds is Sun Hill Racing, which is nationally famed for its training of racehorses.
Inside the farmhouse is full of character and is just as impressive as outside, with a wonderful mix of modern interiors and traditional features including exposed beams, original fireplaces and flagstone floors to add to the period appeal.
This impressive property boasts a welcoming open plan kitchen with a four oven Aga, breakfast island and comfy seating area with log burning stove and flat screen TV to enjoy. Holiday at Home can even organise a private chef to prepare meals during your stay. The group can play pool in the games room and have a drink at the bar before dinner, perfect for any special occasion.
A formal dining room sits next door to the kitchen, and a stylish orangery seating 16 overlooking the garden makes this the perfect group accommodation in Yorkshire.
At the heart of the home is the generous sitting room with comfy seating, a large open fire and a grand piano for the perfect welcome home after a day exploring the Dales. Upstairs are four stylish bedrooms, each en-suite. In the garden is an additional annexe bedroom with an ensuite.
Expect a home away from home – albeit an extremely stylish and spacious one.
Sun Hill Farmhouse
Outside is equally as special with over an acre of stunning private gardens to explore. There are several seating areas to choose from, with an alfresco breakfast table and a BBQ lunch spot. Each part of the garden has been carefully designed for maximum enjoyment throughout the year with mature shrubs and flowers. The garden is also enclosed, a great feature for dog friendly cottages in the Yorkshire Dales.
The sheltered patio at the back of the house features a private hot tub which can be used year-round. It looks across the garden where you can relax and unwind whilst watching the horses frolic around in the paddocks beyond.

Book a private chef to come in and cook for your during your stay! Otherwise, a mile down the hill into Constable Burton is a popular restaurant The Wyvill Arms. Within an easy drive of Sun Hill are plenty of places to eat, including pubs, restaurants, and tea rooms. There are also plenty that welcome the pooch nearby to this dog friendly cottage in the Yorkshire Dales.
