This lodge houses an open-plan living and dining area along with a modern kitchen and dining space with a wonderful outlook over the lake. Glass sliding doors lead to an enclosed private deck. This is the perfect space for a spot of al fresco dining, with a charcoal BBQ and rattan sofas to relax on and watch the surrounding wildlife. Cara is a more accessible lodge with step-free access from the parking.

Cara has three bedrooms, sleeping up to six guests in absolute comfort. The spacious master bedroom is en-suite with a shower. There is a house bathroom with a shower over the bath shared by the further two bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have zip-and-link beds which are super-king sized and can be split into twins, whilst the third bed is a king size. A cot and a highchair are available on request for families.

Each lodge here at Brompton Lakes has been individually designed by renowned interior designer Rosie Mennem. Cara is a beautiful log cabin with a touch of Scandinavian rustic charm due to the colour tones throughout. The carefully selected upcycled furniture creates a cosy and traditional feel. We love the contrast between neutral tones of the master bedroom which create a sense of calm, alongside the use of rich colours and tweed fabrics in the living room, which make for the perfect space to enjoy a cosy night in front of the log burner.

During your stay, take a leisurely stroll around Brompton Lakes. The grounds feature a scenic 1 kilometre flat walking loop, perfect for a relaxed wander. For those looking to venture further, it’s just a gentle 45-minute walk into the historic market town of Richmond.

On-site, enjoy activities like a game of boules, complimentary bike rides, or a friendly match of tennis. Tennis rackets and balls are available from Reception for your convenience. For a quieter escape, unwind on your private decking and soak up the tranquil setting, surrounded by wonderful wildlife. This log cabin also features a nearby fishing peg, which guests are welcome to use. Please note, while there are fish to catch and release, the lake is not stocked or advertised as a fishing destination.
