Designed for relaxed group getaways, Wheatsheaf Barn offers generous space to socialise, unwind, and enjoy quality time together in complete comfort. This fantastic four-bedroom cottage, featuring a games room and a hot tub, sleeps up to 8 guests and offers a host of luxury features for a truly comfortable stay.

For larger gatherings, book Wheatsheaf Barn alongside its neighbour Field Cottage to sleep up to 16 guests in a property collectively known as The Big Green Barn.

Entering through the boot room, Wheatsheaf Barn opens into a bright and spacious open-plan living area filled with natural light and framed by far-reaching Yorkshire countryside views. Designed with time together in mind, the living space of this holiday cottage for large groups offers a comfortable L-shaped sofa and Smart TV, for relaxed evenings after a day exploring the Yorkshire Dales.

The contemporary kitchen, styled in rich blue tones, is thoughtfully equipped for your self-catering stay. Stock up the large American-style fridge freezer with produce from the weekly market in Masham or Ripon, then plan your day over a coffee or keep the chef company at the breakfast bar. The dining table seats eight to ten guests. Beyond the main living area is a snug with a Smart TV, providing a cosy retreat for quieter moments.

The games room of the holiday cottage adds another layer of entertainment with a pool table, dartboard, Smart TV and bar area complete with it's own drinks fridge for sociable nights spent enjoying this Yorkshire holiday house at your own pace

At the entrance, the practical boot room provides the perfect space for storing coats, walking boots and outdoor gear, keeping the main living area clutter-free and comfortable for everyone. A useful utility room is located off the boot room, alongside a convenient ground floor WC.

This cottage with a games room and hot tub also offers four spacious bedrooms with super king-size beds, all located on the first floor and thoughtfully decorated with style and comfort in mind.

The master bedroom benefits from its own private en-suite with a shower. The main house bathroom features a shower over the bath, and serves the remaining bedrooms.

For added flexibility, all bedrooms can be arranged as either doubles or twins, making the cottage ideal for families, friends, and group stays.

Open the glass patio doors of this dog-friendly cottage onto a fully enclosed garden, providing a safe and secure space for children and dogs. With a private jacuzzi-style hot tub and outdoor seating, this hot tub holiday is an inviting spot to unwind and enjoy relaxed moments outdoors. Enjoy a BBQ at Wheatsheaf Barn, perfect for relaxed outdoor dining during your stay. Charcoal can be provided at an additional cost, or guests are welcome to bring their own.

The lawn area is newly laid, with further landscaping taking place in spring. Outdoor soft seating will also be added in spring, completing the space for relaxed outdoor living.

This cottage can be paired with its neighbouring property to create The Big Green Barn, sleeping up to 16 guests. The two cottages are linked via an interconnecting door and can also be booked separately if required.

Wheatsheaf Barn is accessed directly from the parking area, with a stone step from the patio into the property and a small lip at the doorway.

Inside, the barn is arranged over two floors. The ground floor features spacious open-plan kitchen, dining and living areas, alongside a snug, games room, boot room, WC and utility room. The games room includes an interconnecting door to Field Cottage when booked together as The Big Green Barn, allowing flexible group stays.

Upstairs, bedrooms and bathrooms are accessed via stairs. Bedrooms can be arranged as twins on request, with one en-suite bedroom and a shared main bathroom.

Private parking for multiple vehicles is available directly outside, including access to an EV charging hut. Travel cots and high chairs are available on request.

In The Area

The historic city of Ripon (6 miles) is just a short drive away from this large holiday cottage in Yorkshire and ideal for group days out, with Ripon Cathedral, regular events and markets, and a great choice of independent shops, cafés and restaurants.

The traditional market town of Masham (7 miles) is home to the famous Black Sheep Brewery, perfect for group visits and tastings, as well as Johnny Baghdad’s, a popular and relaxed spot for casual dining in the market square. Thirsk (10 miles) offers independent shops, cafés and convenient rail links for those travelling from further afield.
