Reeth, surrounded by spectacular scenery is only 10 minutes drive from any of our holiday properties in Richmond and is a popular place with visitors to the Yorkshire Dales with many tea rooms to enjoy, perhaps after a stroll along the river, and interesting craft shops producing traditional, local products. It has a large village green where a market is held every Friday which should not be missed!

Visit the Folk Museum to find out about the history of the lead mining industry, in which Reeth was the capital in the 18th century (in its heyday Reeth was producing over 10% of the country's lead)
There are many varied walks to be found around Reeth, from gentle strolls over the Swing Bride and along the River Swale, to day long routes, taking the more energetic to the summits of Great Shunner Fell, Lovely Seat and Addlebrough.
On your way home, make sure you pop in to the CB Inn for some award winning pub grub, a local ale and a proper Yorkshire welcome! The changing menu offers local produce ranging from a hearty lunch of Beef steak & red wine casserole washed down with a pint of Black Sheep Yorkshire Bitter, delivered straight from the Brewery at Masham, or a more sophisticated evening meal of Supreme of guinea fowl with confit guinea fowl leg ballotine, sweet potato & cardamom puree with Madeira jus, complimented by a choice from the CB Inn wine list.
