A Scandinavian-inspired luxury lodge welcoming friends and families, Freyja is one of four beautifully appointed two-bedroom lodges at Greenbank Lodges. Natural textures, calming tones and carefully considered interiors create a retreat that feels both elegant and effortlessly comfortable.

Step inside Freyja and discover a warm, welcoming space inspired by Scandinavian design. Underfloor heating runs throughout the lodge, ensuring comfort in every season, while the open-plan kitchen, dining and living area creates the perfect space to cook, dine and unwind together. From the moment you step inside, the spectacular Yorkshire views command attention, framed by the striking gable-end windows that fill the lodge with natural light.

Freyja features two beautifully furnished bedrooms, each with a super king-size bed that can be configured as twin beds, making it ideal for couples, families and groups of friends. Designed with comfort and flexibility in mind, the bedrooms provide a peaceful haven where you can relax and recharge after a day exploring the Yorkshire countryside.

Both bedrooms benefit from stylish en-suite bathrooms and Skandinavisk toiletries, with one offering a contemporary walk-in shower and the other featuring a luxurious freestanding bath and separate shower.

The jacuzzi-style hot tub in the garden invites guests to truly unwind. Being sheltered by a stylish pergola, it can be enjoyed whatever the weather. On warmer days, make the most of outdoor living with the charcoal barbecue and dining area, complete with stylish acacia wood and stone furniture. Great care has been taken to ensure each lodge enjoys uninterrupted views of the stunning Yorkshire countryside. On the same peaceful site, and a few minutes' walk from Freyja is Greenbank Barns, a collection of three luxury holiday homes - perfect for larger group gatherings, family getaways and celebrations.

Freyja Lodge is a single-storey lodge designed for friends, couples, and small families seeking a relaxing countryside retreat.

Parking is conveniently located behind the lodge. Please note there are steps leading down from the parking area to the lodge entrance, and steps to get into the hot tub area.

At the heart of the lodge is a bright and spacious open-plan living, kitchen, and dining area. The impressive large gable-end window fills the space with natural light and showcases views of the surrounding countryside, creating a welcoming environment for relaxing, dining, and spending quality time together.

The lodge features two spacious bedrooms, each with a super king-size bed. The bedroom with the red and blue headboard can be configured as twin beds thanks to its zip-and-link bed, and benefits from an en-suite shower room. The bedroom with the pink headboard has an en-suite bathroom featuring a walk-in shower and a luxurious freestanding bath.

Please note that both en-suite showers have a small step for access.

With its thoughtful single-level layout, stylish interiors, and excellent facilities, Freyja Lodge provides a comfortable and relaxing base for your stay at Greenbank Lodges.

In The Area

While Greenbank Lodges feel perfectly private, there are plenty of places to explore on your doorstep. An easy one-kilometre walking loop follows the site perimeter, taking in the open countryside immediately surrounding the lodges. It is not uncommon to spot wildlife - rabbits, hares, deer and a variety of birds are regular visitors to the site, and the ducks are often seen around the grounds.

Just a mile away is the village of Ravensworth, home to the popular Bay Horse pub and the remains of the 14th-Century Ravensworth Castle. The market towns of Richmond and Barnard Castle are both 15 to 20 minutes away, with a great selection of heritage sites, restaurants, cafés, and independent shops.
