Step inside and you are greeted by terracotta textures and earthy details which add depth to the interiors, creating a space that feels comfortable and thoughtfully put together. The open-plan layout benefits from huge windows that frame expansive views over North Yorkshire. Inside, you'll find a dining table for four, built-in bench seating, comfy sofa, and Smart TV. A small but fully-equipped kitchenette with hob, oven, fridge and dishwasher makes staying in easy. Underfloor heating throughout keeps the space cosy whatever the season. Whether you're starting the day with a quiet cup of tea as the morning light fills the room, or unwinding in the evening with a glass of wine, this is a place designed to be enjoyed at every moment of the day.

After a day exploring the local countryside, guests can choose from two bedrooms, which can both be arranged as super-king doubles or twins, offering flexibility for couples, families or friends. Bright interiors, lofty ceilings and soft lighting bring warmth to these stylish bedrooms. The first bedroom features a sleek ensuite with a walk-in shower, while the second boasts an ensuite with a free-standing bath and separate shower.

Take it all in from your covered jacuzzi-style hot tub or unwind on the private paved patio with charcoal BBQ, acacia wood and stone tables, and comfortable rope dining chairs for four. The lodges at Greenbank Lodges have been designed to showcase the wonderful surroundings and breathtaking views of Yorkshire. Each two-bedroom lodge feels wonderfully private with purpose-built bunds providing natural separation between the neighbouring lodges.

While the garden is not enclosed, there is plenty of outdoor space for guests to enjoy. We recommend keeping dogs supervised or on a lead if they are likely to wander.

Yes, Olof has a private hot tub, located on a paved patio right next to the cabin covered with a stylish pergola. This jacuzzi-style hot tub can be used year-round and fits up to 4 people comfortably. Towels and bathrobes are provided for guests.

Are there walks near Greenbank Lodges?

Yes, Greenbank Lodges is ideally located for walking, with a range of routes right on your doorstep. There is an easy, one-kilometre walking loop around the site at Greenbank Lodges. Local routes around Ravensworth consist of well-defined paths and fields with views of Holme Beck. Near Richmond (approximately a 15-minute drive) there are popular routes that take in the historical ruins of Easby Abbey and the River Swale. Approximately 25 minutes drive is Reeth in Swaledale, providing access to higher, more dramatic scenery and open access land.

Great care has been taken to ensure each lodge enjoys uninterrupted views of the stunning Yorkshire countryside. On the same peaceful site, and a few minutes' walk from Olof is Greenbank Barns, a collection of three luxury holiday homes - perfect for larger group gatherings, family getaways and celebrations.

Olof Lodge is a single-storey lodge designed for friends, couples, and small families seeking a relaxing countryside retreat.

Parking is conveniently located behind the lodge, and there are steps down which take you to the lodge. Please note there is a small step at the entrance and steps leading down to the hot tub area.

At the heart of the lodge is a bright and spacious open-plan living, kitchen, and dining area. The impressive large gable-end window fills the space with natural light and showcases views of the surrounding countryside, creating a welcoming environment for relaxing, dining, and spending quality time together.

The lodge features two spacious bedrooms, each with a super king-size bed. The bedroom with the orange headboard can be configured as twin beds thanks to its zip-and-link bed, and benefits from an en-suite shower room. The second bedroom has an en-suite bathroom featuring a walk-in shower and a luxurious freestanding bath.

Please note that both en-suite showers have a small step for access.

With its thoughtful single-level layout, stylish interiors, and excellent facilities, Olof Lodge provides a comfortable and relaxing base for your stay at Greenbank Lodges.

On arrival, head along the driveway and bear left to Greenbank Lodges, before you reach the larger Greenbank Barns. Olof is the third lodge on the left.

In The Area

While Greenbank Lodges feel perfectly private, there are plenty of places to explore on your doorstep. An easy one-kilometre walking loop follows the site perimeter, taking in the open countryside immediately surrounding the lodges. It is not uncommon to spot wildlife - rabbits, hares, deer and a variety of birds are regular visitors to the site, and the ducks are often seen around the grounds.

Just a mile away is the village of Ravensworth, home to the popular Bay Horse pub and the remains of the 14th-Century Ravensworth Castle. The market towns of Richmond and Barnard Castle are both 15 to 20 minutes away, with a great selection of heritage sites, restaurants, cafés, and independent shops.
