Sun Hill Farmhouse is full of character, with exposed beams, original fireplaces and flagstone floors throughout. The farmhouse kitchen is a standout space, featuring a four oven Aga, breakfast island, cosy seating area with log burner and TV, plus modern appliances including two electric ovens and two large American style fridge freezers, ideal for group stays.

Next door, the formal dining room offers a beautiful setting for evening meals, with a large table, elegant glassware and traditional styling. For a special occasion, a private chef can be arranged.

The main living room is warm and inviting, with comfortable seating, a large open fire, a grand piano and space to unwind after a day exploring the Yorkshire Dales.

Steps from the hallway lead down to a stylish orangery with an established grapevine, dining table, and further comfortable seating. Patio doors open leading into the garden, with unrivalled views of the stunning Wensleydale landscape where horses can be seen grazing in the paddocks and on the gallops. When taking all three properties as a large luxury holiday cottage, on prior request the conservatory table can be extended for the group.

Upstairs you will find four large, comfortable bedrooms, each with its own en-suite facilities. Sun Hill Farmhouse is the perfect large luxury holiday home for a group getaway in Yorkshire. Two of the bedrooms are fixed doubles, while two have large beds that can be split and set up as twins.

Three of the en-suite bathrooms have baths - so there's no fighting after a long winter's walk in the Dales - and one is an en-suite shower room. We love the stylish copper roll-top bath in the master bedroom, perfect for a long evening soak.

The Garden Room is a fifth en-suite bedroom nestled in the farmhouse garden, separate to the main house. In the style of a lodge, it is the perfect combination of country and chic, where no luxury has been spared. The super-king-size four-poster bed is sumptuous and a striking feature of the bedroom, and there's plenty of storage, tea and coffee, and air conditioning. Whilst relaxing in the large freestanding bath take in the private garden views. Separate is the WC and walk-in shower.

Outside is equally as special, with over an acre of stunning private gardens to explore. Each part of the garden has been carefully designed for maximum enjoyment throughout the year, with stunning seasonal displays of mature shrubs and flowers. The garden makes this house a must for garden and nature lovers alike. It has been enclosed to make it more dog-friendly, with fencing separating the garden from the paddocks beyond.

There are several seating areas to choose from, depending on the time of day. You can enjoy an alfresco breakfast or a BBQ lunch from the gas BBQ area, with total peace and quiet. There is a sheltered patio at the back of the house with a covered outdoor jacuzzi hot tub which can be used all year round. This looks out over the garden ensuring you relax and unwind. Beyond the garden enjoy watching the horses frolic around in the next field. Gardens don’t come much better!

Sun Hill Farmhouse is a perfect large luxury holiday home for a group getaway; it sits next door to the three-bedroom Sun Hill Cottage and one-bedroom cottage The Palins at Sun Hill Farm. All three houses can be taken together for up to 18 guests. Valley View is a three-bedroom luxury lodge also located in the grounds of Sun Hill Farm, with exclusive availability between November and February.

For a smaller group, enquire about midweek rates break when using 3-4 bedrooms. Sun Hill Farm has a working raceyard in the grounds, with horses training in the surrounding fields. Dogs must be kept on leads beyond the private gardens of the house.
