There is a spacious, open-plan living and dining area on the first floor, featuring high ceilings and traditional brickwork. The modern kitchen is well-equipped and, from the dining area, guests can step out onto a small balcony with outdoor seating. Enjoy a morning coffee or some al fresco dining, with views across the park towards the river. The big comfy seating area is warmly decorated with a Smart TV and DVD player.

No.2 Darcy Mews is also a luxury dog-friendly holiday home for two well-behaved pooches at a small additional cost per night, so nobody needs to get left behind on your next Yorkshire escape. There are plenty of walks straight from the doorstep through Richmond and the countryside beyond.

The stunning large master bedroom on the top floor has high ceilings and a king-size bed, with an en-suite bathroom. The room is flooded with natural light, and you can step out onto the private balcony. For families, there is plenty of space for a travel cot.

The two further stylish bedrooms are located on the ground floor, sharing an attractive house bathroom, with a bath and separate shower. One of the downstairs bedrooms (blue room) can be set up as a twin room or a double, to suit groups or families.

Darcy Mews is a collection of five unique luxury holiday homes, perfectly located on Riverside Road in the Georgian market town of Richmond. The views of Richmond Falls and the River Swale as you step out the door also won us over. Darcy Mews was transformed from the old gasworks into five stunning holiday apartments. Architecturally designed, the building still retains the characteristics of the original buildings.
