In our dog-friendly holiday homes and lodges, most accept two dogs per booking. The typical charge is £10 per dog per night.

Top Pet Tips

  • Check the property description so you know what your surroundings will be like, and are familiar with the amenities nearby.
  • Don’t forget plenty of toys and a good supply of chews and treats – we all like to indulge a little on holiday, and it will stop them from nibbling in new surroundings.
  • Remember to pack plenty of rugs and towels – perfect for picnics, covering furniture if your dog is a climber, and drying off.
  • Please keep pets off the furniture
  • Please do not allow pets upstairs or in the bedrooms
  • Please do not leave your pets unattended in the property or garden
  • Please remove pet hairs from carpets and dog mess from the garden before you leave
  • Please ask for local recommendations if you would like some
  • Please respect the area, and livestock in fields, whilst on the many public footpaths and public bridleways in Yorkshire

There are lots of excellent local doggy day care facilities, however most will want a trial session and vaccination status before allowing you to book in.

Yorkshire pubs, cafes and attractions are very welcoming to dogs, it comes with the territory of our countryside location. In many locations, one area might specifically accept dogs, so make sure to call up before you arrive to check.

We’ve recommended some walks around the area with pubs at the end here.

Fantastic long weekend; four adults, four children, the dog, and plenty of room for us all. Loved the outdoor space and facilities. Everything you need is provided, we didn’t want to leave.
