Charlie is a South West facing luxury lodge that sleeps two to six guests in three stylish bedrooms. The contemporary-styled cabin has a modern kitchen which is well equipped with everything you should need and more on a self-catering Yorkshire holiday. The kitchen, dining and living area are spacious and open plan, all looking out onto the private enclosed decking to the lakes and the wildlife-filled island beyond.
Relax in front of the cosy log burning stove on the large stylish sofa and comfy armchairs. In summer, open up the full-height glass sliding doors in this luxury lodge out to the private deck. This is the perfect outdoor space for al fresco dining with a charcoal BBQ and outdoor seating. Sit back on the rattan furniture or the table and chairs over unch and relax watching the surrounding wildlife. This lodge has a secure terrace for dog-friendly holiday, so your furry friend can join you outside with no chance of escaping.
Charlie has three bedrooms, each with super-king sized beds that can be set as double or twin rooms. The master bedroom has en-suite facilities with a bath and separate shower. The two further bedrooms share a spacious house bathroom, with a bath and overhead shower.
Each lodge at Brompton Lakes has been individually designed by renowned interior designer Rosie Mennem. Charlie is a luxury lodge with a modern feel, full of touches to add a spot of glamour such as the ornate light fixture above the dining table and rich tones in the living area. Rosie has kept this lodge contemporary, adding a touch of country style with upcycled farmhouse furniture throughout for the perfect blend of modern and traditional.
There is free wi-fi in this dog-friendly luxury lodge. Parking is slightly set back from the lodge, accessed via a gravel path down to the lodge and two steps.
The modern kitchen has a full inventory for that home from home experience, including a fridge freezer and dishwasher. There is a washer-dryer in the separate utility room. During your stay make sure to venture out of your luxury lodge and take a stroll around Brompton Lakes. We have lots of on-site activities to choose from, including a game of boules, make use of complimentary bikes or enjoy a game of tennis. Brompton Lakes is close to the Yorkshire Dales National Park, which has many walks, cycling routes and stunning attractions. Many shops and pubs are also dog-friendly and are extremely accommodating for your four-legged friends.
The historic market towns of Richmond, Barnard Castle, Masham and Leyburn are nearby. Each offers history and culture, restaurants, shopping and the weekly markets filled with local produce. Richmond Castle is sited on a rocky promontory above the River Swale, and among the oldest Norman stone fortresses in England. Richmond also offers wonderful walks along Richmond Falls, a Saturday market filled with local produce, plenty of local artisan shops, The Georgian Theatre, and great places to eat. We also recommend The Station, with its artisan bakery, independent two-screen cinema, brewery and art gallery.
