Abbey enjoys the best sunrise views, sitting on the West lake with good views and looking onto a small island where the resident animals are always up to something. Inside of the Scandinavian luxury lodge, you will find that the design has been carefully thought through. The kitchen is fully equipped and the living area is open plan, making it perfect for bringing everyone together. Stepping out to view the lakes, you can enjoy the private decking with rattan furniture. Whittle away hours doing as little as you desire at Brompton Lakes, or walk along to Easby Abbey and Richmond beyond to explore the area.
This lodge is perfect for early risers, getting all the morning sunshine in through the floor to ceiling windows. East facing, Abbey is a luxury lodge at Brompton Lakes in Richmond, North Yorkshire. With three stylish bedrooms, the log cabin sleeps up to 6 guests in ultimate comfort. There is an impressive view of both lakes with decking overlooking a small island full of wildlife. From outside you can just hear the River Swale which runs behind the lodge beyond the parking.
Abbey is a type B lakeside lodge where you will find everything on one level once you walk down from the parking. This dog-friendly lodge has a spacious kitchen which is well equipped with everything you could need in self-catering accommodation. The dining table sits between the kitchen and living area. The open plan design is made cosy with a log burning stove, comfy sofas and full-height glass sliding doors. These lead out to the large private decking, with rattan outdoor seating, a table and chairs, and a charcoal BBQ. It's the ideal place to relax on your group getaway.
There is a main bathroom with a shower over the bath, which is shared by two bedrooms. The master bedroom has luxury en-suite facilities with a separate bath and large shower. All three of the bedrooms have super-king beds which can each be set up as either double or twin rooms on request.
Each lodge at Brompton Lakes has been individually designed by renowned interior designer Rosie Mennam. Abbey is a beautiful luxury lodge with a touch of Scandinavian rustic charm due to the colour tones throughout. The carefully selected upcycled furniture creates a cosy and traditional feel. We love the contrast between neutral tones of the master bedroom, which creates a sense of calm, alongside the use of rich colours and tweed fabrics in the living room. Combined they create a perfect space to enjoy a cosy night in on your luxury escape.
There is free wi-fi in this lodge and parking outside up some steps. The modern kitchen is well equipped for that home from home experience, including a fridge freezer and dishwasher. There are washing facilities in the utility room, and in the living area is a Smart TV, DVD player, and Bluetooth sound system. All our Yorkshire lodges include high quality bed linen, towels and toiletries. There's a starter pack to get you going for the kitchen, fire and washroom, and of course a locally sourced seasonal welcome hamper.

Private parking is available for two cars behind the lodge, accessed via gravel steps.

During your stay make sure to venture out of your lakeside lodge and take in the Yorkshire countryside as Brompton Lakes has 26 acres to explore. You can play boules, use the complimentary bikes or enjoy a game of tennis. For a more serene stay, relax on the private decking and appreciate the idyllic location and the peace and quiet of the wildlife.
These Yorkshire holiday homes are on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, which has many walks, family-friendly days out, and stunning attractions. Richmond is the closest market town, and there’s a village shop just a mile down the road. Richmond offers history and culture, restaurants, shopping, and the weekly market filled with local produce. In Richmond, we like to head to French restaurant Rustique, or ten minutes away is the popular gastropub The Black Bull in Moulton.
