There are three bedrooms and the house is set over three floors with the living space on the middle floor; enjoy high-end apartment living with the open plan sitting and dining area which adjoins a contemporary kitchen. The penthouse bedroom on the top floor features a balcony and feels lovely and light. A dog-friendly holiday home, there are many beautiful walks on the doorstep.
Sleeping up to six people, No.2 Darcy Mews has three gorgeous bedrooms. It is a luxury and large dog-friendly holiday apartment set over three floors. Well located for all the amenities of market town Richmond in North Yorkshire, it is also in an idyllic location overlooking the River Swale and Richmond Falls.
There is a spacious open plan living and dining area is on the first floor, featuring high ceilings and traditional brickwork. The modern kitchen is well-equipped and from the dining area step out to a small balcony with outdoor seating. Enjoy a morning coffee or some al fresco dining, with views across the park towards the river. The big comfy seating area has warm rich colours, and includes a smart TV and DVD player.
No.2 Darcy Mews is also a luxury dog-friendly holiday home for two well behaved pooches at a small additional cost per night, so nobody needs to get left behind on your next Yorkshire escape. There are plenty of walks straight from the doorstep through Richmond and the countryside beyond.
The stunning large master bedroom on the top floor has high ceilings and a king-size bed, with an en-suite bathroom. The room is flooded with natural light, and you can step out onto the private balcony. For families, there is plenty of space for a travel cot. The two further stylish bedrooms are located on the ground floor, sharing an attractive house bathroom, which a bath and separate shower. One of the downstairs bedrooms can be set up as a twin room or a double, to suit groups or families.
No.2 is one of a collection of five unique luxury holiday apartments of varying sizes at Darcy Mews. It is a short walk into the market square where you will find plenty of amenities, shops and restaurants.
There is wi-fi in the house, a smart TV and DVD player. The modern kitchen is well equipped for your stay, and there are a few under-sink items to get you going. On arrival, you will have high-quality bed linen, towels, luxury toiletries, plus tea, coffee, and milk in the kitchen. Please note there is no washing machine.
There is parking for one car in the gated car park, and the pre-arrival email will explain about additional paid and free parking nearby.
Darcy Mews is perfectly located on Riverside Road in the Georgian market town of Richmond. The views of Richmond Falls and the River Swale as you step out the door also won us over. Darcy Mews was transformed from the old gasworks into five stunning apartments. Architecturally designed, the building still retains the characteristics of the original buildings.
With plenty of walks from your doorstep, this is the ideal family-friendly holiday home for exploring Yorkshire and is a haven for walkers and cyclists. Walk along the riverside and take in the falls, which are particularly striking after a rainy day. Follow the trail to Richmond Bridge, rewarding yourself with a treat from the award-winning bakery in The Station, a converted Victorian railway building. On Saturdays, make sure you don’t miss the Market in Richmond's marketplace.
While staying at Darcy Mews, we recommend you visit the 11th century Richmond Castle. It is a short walk to the marketplace with its historic buildings, museums, and the fantastic Georgian Theatre.
