The main house sleeps up to 6 guests across 3 stylish bedrooms, and downstairs has an impressive living and dining area with views of rolling countryside and outdoor space. So far, this may sound like an ordinary property, but there is so much more to New York Public Library…
The interiors have been carefully selected to create an inspiring, yet relaxing environment, including some Damien Hirst artwork on the walls and a table football machine to keep the whole group entertained! Just looking at the exterior, you can tell that this property is full of mystery.
Outside is just as impressive, as you are surrounded by acres of private woodland with something for everybody to enjoy. Show off your fire-starting skills with some al fresco dining at the Outdoor Grilling Station, or take a dip in the hot tub with a glass of something cold. Let the kids tire themselves out exploring the lookout tower!
It is easy to relax after a day of exploring the private bluebell woodland gardens. The garden has an Annex with a separate ensuite bedroom, perfect for a couple looking for a bit more privacy, or if someone in your party requires something more accessible.
Why the name New York Public Library?
As said previously, it is important to note that this property is not in New York. It is in fact close to Richmond, North Yorkshire. This property is not a library, or open to the public. It is a secluded hideaway for holiday makers looking to make memories with their families.
The owner, Greville Worthington, notes that part of this unusual and interesting property is based on the old public library in York. So that’s how the New York Public Library got its name. And just like its name, this unique four-bedroom Yorkshire holiday home is totally unexpected…
