A charming red brick luxury cottage making a perfect countryside escape...

Welcome to Fletcher House, ideally located halfway between the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors, this charming country cottage is close to the market town of Thirsk. This cottage with a hot tub in Yorkshire offers a calming presence from the moment you draw up the sweeping driveway and step through the front door.

Inside is an eclectic mix of contemporary yet comfortable living. The relaxing sitting room comprises a large velvet sofa to nestle into in front of a roaring open fire. Settle into an afternoon film together on the widescreen TV, or enjoy a glass of wine on the two stylish armchairs over a game with views across the front lawn.

Filled with colour and an abundance of comforts, the dining room opposite offers a social living space. A plush, velvet sofa in rich shades of orange resides between the dining area and kitchen. The large dining table seats eight guests, offering the perfect set-up for pared-back brunches and extravagant feasts alike. Modern artwork sits perfectly next to the original features of what was once workers' cottages and traditional touches add richness to this room and throughout the house.

The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and large fridge freezer. There is plenty of cupboard space and you have everything you could need to rustle up a feast. Or if you prefer to relax, book a private chef to come in and cook or enjoy many local eateries nearby.

Downstairs is a spacious cloakroom with the W/C, and hanging for coats and muddy boats after a day exploring the Dales or North York Moors. The utility room is housed in the outside store.

On the first floor are four beautifully appointed bedrooms. Bold colours, eye-catching headboards in luxe fabrics and comfy linen create a cocoon of comfort. Three of the four rooms have super-king-sized beds that can be split into twins, allowing flexible sleeping for groups or children.

There are two bathrooms, each with their unique designs and with retro tiles. The family bathroom offers a bath with a shower overhead, and the second bathroom includes a spacious rainfall shower.

An eclectic mix of traditional touches and contemporary styling meet in this cosy self-catering cottage for family and friends. Fletcher House is a welcome escape from the everyday ordinary and a perfect spot to withdraw to at the end of a busy week.

The great outdoors will lure guests out from within these pretty walls, no matter how sumptuous it is inside. It is a dreamy space outside this Yorkshire cottage with a hot tub with a large garden. To the rear of the house is the alfresco dining area with BBQ and lovely views. Take a dip in the hot tub under the moonlight and catch up with those you haven't seen for too long.

With plentiful places to visit on your doorstep, this is a wonderful luxury retreat for families or a group of friends.

Arrive to a locally sourced welcome hamper, free wi-fi, and ample parking. The modern kitchen has a fridge freezer, dishwasher and electric oven, and is well-stocked for that home-from-home experience. The washing machine and tumble dryer sit in the outhouse. There is a starter pack of products for the kitchen, laundry, and fire.

The property includes high-quality bed linen, towels, bathrobes, and a selection of toiletries. A cot and a high chair are available on request. In addition, a z-bed for children under the age of 10 can be requested for an additional charge of £25.

You don’t have to leave the pooch at home as Fletcher House is a dog-friendly holiday home for up to two dogs. These are a small charge per night, and please note the garden is enclosed however not escape-proof.

Walk out from the kitchen door at the rear of the house and across the lawn to the garden hot tub. By this is the outdoor seating area on the raised decking, perfect for eight people.
The utility room is in the outside store, to the rear of the house. At the front of the house, enter into the hallway and see the staircase ahead of you. On the right is the sitting room, with a sofa, tv and reading area. Down one step another door leads through to the kitchen and dining area. A door from the kitchen leads out to the garden

Bedroom 2 is the room with a coral headboard and mustard cushions, this has a super king bed that can be split into twin beds.
Bedroom 3 is the navy patterned headboard with pink side lamps and has a super king bed that can be split into twin beds.
Bedroom 4 is the room with a green headboard and has a super king bed that can be split into twin beds.

Each bedroom has a hanging and drawer space, and towels and robes are included for the hot tub. In one bathroom there is a shower over the bath, and the other is a shower room.

In The Area

Located in Ainderby Quernhow, this holiday cottage is near Thirsk in North Yorkshire. Keen walkers will enjoy the many wonderful routes and local landmarks that make this countryside so special. Thirsk is home to the famous Yorkshire Vet and the World of James Herriot. A trip to Masham should include a tour of the historic Black Sheep Brewery. Nearby, Thorp Perrow or Newby Hall and Gardens are popular choices for families, and we recommend a trip to The Forbidden Corner or Lightwater Valley for the more adventurous!

Fletcher House is in an ideal location. The nearby market towns of Masham, Bedale, and Thirsk are within a 15-minute drive; each has a choice of shops and cafés, traditional pubs, restaurants, and a weekly farmers’ market. Within an easy drive is Ripon, one of England’s oldest cities, with a majestic cathedral to visit. York and Harrogate are a 40-minutes away, and both are high on the list of best places to visit in Yorkshire.
