The exposed brickwork is an ode to the original gasworks where Darcy Mews now stands. Lounge at the breakfast bar while your partner cooks for you, or if you prefer to eat out it is only a short walk into Richmond where there is plenty of choices. The location of this luxury apartment has made it a popular romantic getaway for couples, for anniversaries and even for engagements.

The comfy L-shaped sofa is perfect for an afternoon with a book. There is a large Smart TV for an evening cosied up in front of a film with a glass of wine, kept cold in the wine fridge in the Penthouse.

The bedroom has a king-size bed, and plenty of storage for a week-long stay. A door leads out to the wraparound outdoor terrace, or lie in bed and look out towards the River Swale. The stylish house bathroom opposite has a walk-in shower.

Darcy Mews is located on Riverside Road in the Georgian market town of Richmond, offering stunning views of Richmond Falls and the River Swale. Set underneath the ramparts of an 11th century Norman castle, Darcy Mews is the site of the old gasworks. Now transformed into five stunning apartments, the building still retains many of the characteristics of the original buildings.
