A stunning rural setting awaits at Hollins Farmhouse in the heart of Wensleydale. This fabulous large holiday home boasts breath-taking views across the river Yore to Witton Fell, and was completely renovated in 2021. Sleeping 10 adults and 2 young children, Hollins Farmhouse is ideal for both multi-generational families or a group of friends. The horse-training town of Middleham is on the doorstep, and this is a perfect location from which to explore the Yorkshire Dales.

As featured in the Yorkshire Post, 'This fabulous farmhouse near Middleham is now an extra-large holiday let thanks to a splendid renovation by its owner and a Dales-based team.'

Make your way across the characterful flagstone courtyard and into a large boot room. The country charm starts as you hang up coats, putting wellies and the dog lead away after a day of exploring. Through a generous utility room with a Belfast sink and washing machine, step into a warm and welcoming open-plan kitchen diner. Beyond is the cloakroom and useful cellar space for luggage and items not required upstairs.

The light and airy farmhouse kitchen is a joy to cook in with an incredible view. Well-equipped, there is a double electric oven and hob, an American-style fridge freezer, a microwave, and plenty of work surfaces to prepare delicious home-cooked meals. Gather around the dining table, which comfortably seats 10 guests, and make happy memories with family and friends in this large holiday home. The terracotta tiles and open fireplace are one of many original features leading to the terrace door and that view! The terrace is a great place to sit out in sight of the kitchen and the garden gazebo.

On the ground floor, gather in one of two living rooms. A large sitting room with high ceilings and seating for ten includes a big comfy L-shape sofa. There is a jet-master open fire, and window seats in front of a south-facing bay window, again with fantastic views.

The smaller study also has a comfy sofa, two armchairs, and seats five. It’s an ideal room to unwind in as the fire crackles away and a film plays on the Smart TV. The ideal room for those seeking peace and quiet; there is a desk for a quiet hour’s work or it is a room for kids to escape to.

There is a purpose-built stand-alone office in the courtyard with wi-fi; a place which is ideal for those keeping in touch with work or revising for exams.

Five generous bedrooms are found on the first and second floors. On the first floor, the large master bedroom has a dressing table, plenty of storage, and south-facing windows that command stunning views across the River Yore. This and the second bedroom boast original fireplaces, high ceilings, and televisions for lazy mornings in bed. Each is a zip-and-link bed that can be made as a super-king or twins, and they share a bathroom with a bath and shower and a separate cloakroom with a sink.

The third and fourth bedrooms on the first floor are stylishly decorated with chic country touches and a window seat for enjoying the view. They share a family bathroom with a bath and a separate shower.

Up the carpeted staircase, on the second floor is a pretty bedroom with a vaulted ceiling, painted beams, and a smart TV for lounging in bed. Across the landing find a generous bathroom with a large roll-top bath aligned for a perfect view of Penn Hill further up Wensleydale. This is a wonderfully quiet spot for an indulgent soak after a long day of exploring the Dales.

On the first floor, you’ll find a further snug; the family has plenty of space to spread out in this large holiday home. Two built-in beds accommodate young children; they're suitable for a maximum height of 5ft4, for a small additional charge.

On the south side of the house is an attractive and sheltered garden with a stunning backdrop. Rustic brick and stone pointed walls, a well-kept lawn and a flagstone terrace offer an ideal setting for alfresco dining on a warm day. On the patio outside the kitchen door, a jacuzzi-style hot tub makes a perfect spot to soak up the views.

In the corner of this walled space is a stunning gazebo offering welcome shade or shelter. The gazebo is a masterclass in craftsmanship, with beautiful pine beams. It comfortably seats twelve, and with its own lighting and stunning views is the perfect place to dine on a warm evening. Look out over the rolling Coverdale hills, Middleham, and the Yorkshire Dales beyond.

The house sleeps 10 guests plus 2 young children. There are two fixed daybeds in the snug / bedroom 6, suitable for children under 5ft4 at a small additional charge. Families with young children can request a cot and a high chair free of charge.

Linen, bath towels, logs for the three fires, a small selection of toiletries, and a locally sourced welcome hamper are all included in this luxury large holiday home. The brand-new kitchen includes a breakfast bar, large American fridge-freezer, an electric range cooker, a dishwasher, and a full kitchen inventory for a home-from-home experience. There is wi-fi throughout and plenty of parking alongside a neighbouring barn outside.

Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome at a small additional cost per night. They are certain to enjoy the many walks in the area but please be respectful of livestock on all footpaths.

The drive offers parking for 4 cars comfortably. Enter the property through the stone-flagged courtyard and into the boot room. In this courtyard is the office which is a study. The garden is accessed through the gate from the driveway, or through the kitchen which has a large paved patio area before the grass. The gazebo is also stone-flagged underfoot.

The ground floor is easily accessible, and all on one level. A utility room with a washing machine then leads through to a spacious kitchen dining area, seating 10 people. The sitting room also has plenty of seating for 10 guests.

Access to the bedrooms is via the central staircase. On the first floor are four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Bedrooms 1 and 2 have beds that can be split into twin beds or be set as super king beds, and they share the bathroom and separate loo which lies between them. Bedrooms 3 and 4 have a bathroom between them and are both fixed king beds. The snug, also called bedroom 6, has two fixed day beds suitable for two children up to 5ft4. The second floor comprises a twin bedroom and a large bathroom with a freestanding bath.
