Easter eggs and chocolate have become synonymous with this special time of year. When the season changes from Winter to Spring, what better time to visit Kacao. This is our favourite local chocolaterie, based in Richmond, known as the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales. As well as lots of delicious chocolate on offer, Kacao also have many exciting chocolate making courses this Easter for kids of all ages to enjoy. Learn all about the sweet-tasting stuff, whilst chomping on marshmallows dipped in the running chocolate fountain. A great day out for all of the family!
After a long weekend of gorging ourselves on Easter chocolate, there is no better time to get out and about to explore the great outdoors. More appropriately named for an ice cream sundae than a hill, Roseberry Topping is nonetheless worth a visit. At 320 metres high it’s a challenging but achievable climb for the whole family, and once you’ve battled your way to the top you’ll enjoy sweeping views across North Yorkshire and Teesside.

There are plenty of cycling routes around Yorkshire that will get you in the Easter spirit. Get out and about, soaking in the gorgeous Yorkshire surroundings before rewarding yourselves with a well-deserved rest at one of our local Yorkshire pubs. Snack away or feast at the pub before continuing on your way back to your holiday home.
