The impressive dining room is spacious perfect for family gatherings with period furniture, exposed beams and a grand fireplace. Spend evenings catching up together around the large farmhouse dining table in front of a flickering fireside. The kitchen sits alongside the dining room and is fully equipped with everything you could need at a self-catering holiday cottage. A stable door from the kitchen leads out to the gardens.

Next door you will find a large elegant living area with sumptuous sofas and a log-burning stove. It is a calming space that invites you to relax and unwind, with a large coffee table at its heart perfect for playing games around. French doors seamlessly lead you into the tranquillity of the outdoor space where landscaped gardens wrap around the house, inviting guests to immerse themselves in the surrounding natural beauty.

The ground floor has a spacious double bedroom with a 4'6 double bed and panoramic views to wake up to. The en-suite bathroom is complete with a shower and a roll-top bath to soak in.

Upstairs are a further two luxurious bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms where guests can look forward to retiring after a day exploring. As you would expect from a grand master bedroom there is a sumptuous super-king-size four-poster bed, and the en-suite bathroom offers a double basin, spacious walk-in shower and delightful roll-top bath with stunning views. The further upstairs bedroom has the bonus of two twin 3' single beds, perfect for a kids' sleepover or a welcome space for adults as it has a private bathroom.

The outside space at Stank House Farm offers the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee from the terrace or watch the sun setting across the valley in complete peace and tranquillity. Enjoy a relaxing soak in the private bubbling hot tub with unspoiled views across the Yorkshire valley to Bolton Abbey and beyond.

Within a 10-minute drive, you will find The Devonshire Arms Hotel and Spa, set across 30,000 acres of glorious Yorkshire Dales countryside. Experience mile after mile of unspoilt tranquillity before indulging in some of Yorkshire’s finest food and drink. Guests at Stank House Farm will also receive complimentary spa access to The Devonshire Spa, including use of the spa facilities and a new state-of-the-art vitality pool. Spa day experiences are also available which include treatments, extended use of the spa facilities and lunch.

Each holiday cottage on the Bolton Abbey Estate is dog friendly, allowing two well-behaved dogs (at an additional charge). Families with children and infants are welcome, with a travel cot, high chair and stair gate available on request. The property offers free wi-fi throughout.

Please note that the property is located along a long, uneven track and may not be suitable for low-slung cars; please get in touch with any questions. There is off-road parking for three cars opposite the property.

The modern kitchen has a Range Master electric oven with ceramic hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and drier plus a full kitchen inventory for that home-from-home experience. Stank House Farm includes high-quality bed linen, towels, bathrobes, and luxury toiletries. There is a starter pack for the kitchen, fire, and washroom, and of course a locally sourced welcome hamper.

Guests at Stank House Farm will receive 1 hour of complimentary spa access to The Devonshire Arms Spa, including using all spa facilities and the new state-of-the-art vitality pool.
